What makes Stella unique? We’re fairly certain Stella knows the exact day of the week and time better than us. She wakes us up if we sleep 5 minutes past our alarm, stares at the door when she knows her dad should be home and knows when it’s time for her afternoon playdate with her neighbor BFF! If we’re late for anything, she will make sure we’re aware by nudging us repeatedly with her nose.

Ball Life!

Rescue Story: Our friends were fostering her after she was given up by her first home. She was a 3 month old skinny girl full of fleas. They nursed her back to health and fostered her for a few weeks. Over those weeks, we fell in love with her. We decided to foster her after our friends had to go back into work. We both knew within the first 24 hours she’s never leaving!

Working the puppy eyes for that forever home!

What is your favorite pastime as a family? We love hiking with Stella! No matter the distance or terrain, she is the first one in line and leading us. She’ll collect big sticks along the trail and jump into any creek or lake. She’ll then come home and sleep on the couch for 24 hours!

What is life like since you rescued Stella? When we first got Stella, she was very timid. She was scared of her own shadow. However, with time, obedience training and a lot of love, she’s starting to get braver every day. We truly enjoy every second with her. Our text chain is pretty much just different pictures of her in weird, goofy spots she decides to nap in. We’re thankful Stella found us!

Photographers Note: Stella wasn’t so sure what this whole thing was about when I arrived. First her parents “dress her up” with a bowtie (which was used because it smelled like other dogs) and then this strange woman was pointing this weird thing with what looked like a long nose at her. However, after a few tosses of the ball, she really hit her stride and would start to come right up to my lens and me to say Hello. This beautiful girl is quite photogenic and you would never guess by looking at her but her ears apparently have a mind of their own on occasion. Outside of the brief lack of cooperation at the beginning of the shoot (which was hilarious), I could have sat there all day taking photos of this beauty, her coat just gleamed in the sunshine and the look of joy on her face while she chased sticks and her ball was the definition of a forever home.

Hello there!
